Stamping and Incising

My collection of textured objects--various pieces of coral, tree bark, nut shells, even the end of an Allen wrench--are close at hand while I work.

I also carve patterns into large tubes of clay to create my own “rolling pins” for large pieces and tiles. For other designs I make small stamps. Both are fired and become part of my permanent texture collection.
